About us

At Mylor Pre-School our aim is to provide a safe and caring environment where all children are encouraged and are able to learn and explore to their own abilities.

The pre-school was established in 1971 by a group of parents who wanted to give their children and others in the community an opportunity to join together in learning and play by providing quality sessional care.  The pre-school has been based at various locations through the village, but in 2003 moved to its current site of the refurbished Methodist Schoolroom in the village, which is situated next door to Mylor Bridge C.P. School.

We are a warm and caring group, and our combination of experienced staff and actively involved parents serves to provide a secure and happy environment within which your child can learn and develop through play.

We are registered with Ofsted to care for 20 children in each session.

The pre-school receives support from the P.L.A. (Pre-School Learning Alliance) and Cornwall Children’s Services Authority, both organisations offering support, guidance and training.
